I started my macro journey Oct 2015- and I have never looked back. My whole life I have struggled with my body shape. No I’m not overweight and never have been, but I wasn’t happy with my body. I have, like most of us, tried all types of diets- starving, no carbs, paleo but nothing I could ever maintain- UNTIL, trying the Macros. I don’t consider it a diet, it is more of a controlled budget so to speak. I am in control of how my body looks and how I feel. Some people think l’m a little crazy measuring my food, plugging into MFP. But, the consistent results I see and how I feel every day really make me not care what people think. I have fought the battle really my entire life- wishing my legs were longer, thinner, my butt just a tad bit smaller so I could fit into the cute outfits- I now say- I do fit into the cute outfits, I like my muscular looking legs and thank you very much- I’ll keep my butt.
For the first time in my fitness journey, I feel like I have a nutritional strategy that will actually help me meet my goals. No more pretending what I consume won’t hurt my progress. Amanda does more than help you understand what macros are. She changes your mindset on what real food really is and the importance of fueling your body with them.
