With a little bit of science and whole heck-of-a-lot of reflection, I help clients wade through the B#$$&@*! surrounding food and build a lasting relationship with it. I call it “food freedom.”
I have been a coach in some capacity for 20 years. Taking people on journies to better themselves is in my DNA. From youth sports to high school sports, group fitness classes to CrossFit, healthy living is a part of who I am.
My education and background are in science. After getting a degree in Physiology, I wanted to share my inner science geek with high school students. My Master’s degree in secondary education followed right after, leading me to a 10-year career as a high school teacher.
Until I became a mom.
That is when my passion for healthy living, real food eating, and balance exploded. I gained almost 70 pounds in my first pregnancy and lost myself, my mojo. I ate a Brownie Batter Blizzard literally every other day during my first pregnancy (I think I alone kept them in business). I looked in the mirror after 2 kids and literally cried.
I knew there was more for me.
And I found it.
I’ve been through the spectrum of fad diets and food lifestyles. I know that food is amazing. Food is powerful. It is at the core of our survival. It is meant to be enjoyed and not guilted over.
With a simple approach, focused on whole foods, I am here to guide you to the understanding that you CAN have your cake and eat it too (literally) while still living a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable.
I am here to help you learn to live in the “grey” of food and create food freedom.
