My name is Amanda Walker, “AWalk”, and I teach people how to love food, fuel their body sustainably and look and feel good doing it!
My clients come to me after years of yo-yo dieting, binge eating and plain old “life” looking for a sustainable way of eating. The one where they can eat a nutrient dense diet and still enjoy something they love every.single.day. Teaching people how to eat a balanced daily diet that is sustainable for their life is my passion. I thrive from helping people reach their fitness goals by providing them with realistic strategies to make it happen. Let’s be honest—eating a salad at every meal just isn’t sustainable. Chocolate exists in this world and it’s meant to be enjoyed…at the right time.
I have been working in the fitness and coaching industry for over 15 years. I have coached youth sports, group fitness classes, Crossfit and have guided hundreds of people towards their fitness goals. I graduated with a B.S. in Life Science (with an emphasis in physiology) and then went on to receive an M.E.d in secondary education. I am a Certified Crossfit, Crossfit Kids and Crossfit Endurance instructor and also a Fitness Nutrition Specialist. I am a science GEEK and have been trained in how to deliver it effectively too. I have a clear passion for teaching people (and kids) about living a healthy lifestyle.
Even more important is my life is CRAZY! I am a wife, a mom, a fitness coach, a nutrition coach and still have to plan dinners (and breakfast and lunch too), play cars and Barbies, tuck my kiddos in at night and shuttle them to school and all of their activities. My life is busy—just like yours. I am here to tell you that you can find a sustainable way of loving food in the perfect amounts. I am a mom of 2 and look and feel better than I did when I was 19. I know it is possible for you too.
